Jigga & Tru Life

Jigga & Tru Life

NY rapper Tru Life, and also former Roc-A-Fella artist, tuned himself in to authorities last night (6/23) on a suspected murder charge of an 18-yr old. Allhiphop reports:

The charge is possibly tied to a brutal stabbing incident last week that left one man seriously injured, and an 18-year old teen dead.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, police were initially investigating Tru Life’s brother for a retaliation attack in the non-fatal shooting of Michael Slater.

The individual, whom police suspect is a drug dealer, was shot in the stomach outside of club Pacha.

Several hours after the crime, police claim five gang members ambushed 30 year old Jason Black and the unnamed teen at a Manhattan apartment complex.

Both men were stabbed repeatedly in the chest and face. Black survived the assault, while the unidentified teen succumbed to his wounds.

At the time, police theorized that the back and forth violence was the result of a feud between Jason Black and Tru Life’s brother.

A 1st degree murder charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison under New York law.

If this holds out to be true; then you can count him as another one too blind to see the bigger picture.

“It’s not just me attaching my name to it, whenever I involve myself in a business, I submerge myself in it.”

“I wanted to learn as much as possible. It was great. It gave me a new appreciation for cognac.”  – Luda

The liquor will be distributed internationally with the first orders being shipped to Norway and North America to follow in September.  Conjure will be selling for $34.99.

The video is for the song “I’ll Do Anything” off the recently released ‘War Angel LP’ mixtape 50 dropped.

jim-jonesBow wow

Well, well, well…it’s seems that some were doing just a bit too much boasting about what they can do and have instead of just producing results. Word on the street has it that Dipset, Byrd Gang rapper Jim Jones has been dropped of Major label Columbia/Sony. Apparently Jones spends a bit too much time ‘tweeting’ and goading Jay-Z and not enough time selling albums. Jones has officially had two releases while on Sony — the Byrd Gang compilation “M.O.B. (Members of Byrd Gang)” & the recently released “Pray IV Reign” both releases didn’t sell well.

He’s not alone; Bow Wow has also been dropped from the label. Outside of underperforming, Bow Weezy has also taken to twitter and used the social site to plea to his label to release him. It seems they have been “following” him and granted him his wish. Bow’s latest release “New Jack City 2″ sent him into retirement from the rap game.

Rumors has it that Jay-Z is bringing his Roc Nation imprint over to Sony…wonder if it has any relation…

Here’s a look at the official “Death of Autotune” tee brought to you by Rocawear. Jay-Z has sent the message that the overuse of the vocoder has been brought to an end. Good riddance! If you support his stance and want to show where you stand you can cop the tee at Rocawear.

Also Jigga’s D.O.A. is officially avaible on iTunes which can be copped when you click the pic.
