BX rapper, Fat Joe, has officailly ended his deal with EMI and signed with E1 records (formerly Koch records) and links up with his former boss, Alan Grunblatt, who woked with Joe early in his career on Relativity Records.

The new deal ends Joey’s 4-year distribution deal with EMI, which released his last three albums 2006’s Me, Myself and I, 2008’s The Elephant in the Room and 2009’s Jealous Ones Still Envy 2.

Joe had this to say:

“It’s been a long time coming. I have a long history with Alan Grunblatt and everyone at E1. Although it’s a small label, they have the best marketing and promotion staff in the hip-hop game and I’m looking forward to working with then on my new album, The Dark Side.”

The album drops June 28.
