Last night in the The Brook (Brooklyn) Diddy & Mr. Cee celebrated Biggie’s life with a tribute party that brought out Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Red Cafe, Jadakiss, Rick Ross and Dirty Money. MTV has the full rundown.

“All Diddy told me was to set up a stage,” Brooklyn DJ Mister Cee, who discovered Biggie back in the early ’90s, said early in the night. “I don’t know who’s coming, I don’t know who’s not coming. But if you’re not in this building, you’re gonna miss something legendary. Diddy told me he’s gonna show his ass tonight. He said, ‘Tonight, I’m not Diddy, I’m back to being Puffy.’ That means he’s taking it back to ’94, ’95.”

Rest In Peace to the greatest (In My Opinion) MC to touch a mic. B.I.G. is sorely missed not just for what he brought to Hip Hop but what he brought to the lives he postively touched. His UNBELIEVABLE impact, to not just rap, but to Hip Hop as culture is still felt…even 13 years later and will continue to be felt forever…ain’t another like ya. We’ll always love BIG POPPA!!

Rest In Peace to a R&B singer of legendary proportions and a beacon on inspiration to those he toouched and soothed through the gift of his music…Teddy Pendergrass.

Beloved R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 59 years old.

The survivor of a 1982 car accident, Pendergrass was paralyzed from the waist down but continued his career, which began with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes. As a solo artist he recorded many classics records and was dubbed “Teddy Bear” for his velvety smooth voice. Eight months ago, he underwent surgery for colon cancer and was said have had a difficult recovery, according to his son Teddy Jr. He leaves behind a musical legacy that will fondly be remembered.

Jay Electronica made a tribute to honor the late. great King of Pop, Michael Jackson with a picture video to his banger of a track “Exhibit C” and is dubbed Audiograph Memorial. Jay shares his motivation for the tribute below:

Posted verbatim:

I made this because i have loved Michael Jackson all of my life. All of my memories from about 5 years old or so (which is about as far back as i remember with some ease) can be tied to or associated with or landmarked by some musical contribution of Michael Jackson at that time. From then, all the way to now. He is a dark fingerprint on a very large part of who I am and who most of the people I know personally are. And thats why i posted this picture along with this song. The response to this song is amazing, and overwhelming and i appreciate all of the love and support it is recieving from everywhere. And i dedicate all of this positive energy toward a Great Hero of mine (although not perfect) who has performed many miracles in his physical life and who has and will be for many moons continue to be a glowing light in the dark for those who see something better inside of themselves and have the will and desire to pursue it. Evolution. May our good works be recorded and duplicated, and may our sins be recorded and forgiven. Amen  — Jay Electronica
